City have made an application which if successful would see the club play the first three matches of the campaign away from home, this decision taken to ensure completion time on the works to the south stand. A decision on the application is expected within the next ten days.

Could work out great if we win those away games though! Our title run-in (fingers crossed!) would be mostly at home!

Bet you it wouldn't. If we get permission to have our first few games away, those home fixtures in hand will have been played throughout the season. There's no way that Chelsea or Arsenal or vigilpool will agree to us having our last three games at home. Not a cat in hell's. This season was very different as the original home game against Villa (called off for the Wigan cup tie, IIRC) couldn't have been foreseen last August. And there were very few dates when it could have been rescheduled for at the late stage in the season (remember, we also had to squeeze in the rearranged Mackems game as well).

I only dream of one season ending with us at the rags on the last day. We're already champions, they have to applaud us on to the pitch and if we beat them they miss out on CL to Liverpool in 4th place ....

Assuming the FA agree to first 2 games being away then I'd like to see.....
