Clothing is the identity of the club? I would think the fans would be the identity of a club.

so how do the fans show they are? One way is to wear the clubs colours or shirt, this abbomination is not reflective of our identified colours.

It's the clubs identity, not just a football kit.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this point mate. I don't think the kit has anything to do with our identity. That's my personal view and I do understand the opposing viewpoint.

Look back at our kits over the past 30 years. We've had some fucking abortions, they don't affect the "identity" of the club at all. It's just another kit that will change again next season.

To suggest that we will play in maroon as a home kit is a bit daft. We'll always play in a sky blue home kit, just variations upon that theme.

It's all about opinions though I suppose. I just can't get my head around people being so fucked off with navy blue sleeves on a footy kit (OK, OK, and blue shorts!! ;-)).

Teams at the top table of English football... don't get fucked about with – lower division cllubs get fucked about with, because they need the revenue a kit manufacture gives them, and often have to 'take it' from the manufacturers to get the best deal. Look at all the League 1 and 2 teams kit history... core colours remain, but they're all over the fucking place. Our kit was like that in the 80's/90's because we were one of those clubs, but when we were at that top table in the 60's it was constant... we're back there now, the colours matter!

Some of Barca's Nike kits have been miles away from their traditional stripes, why do they let Nike do that to them?

You are avoiding the question of where you draw the line on the colours and colour combination of the home kit

Read my previous post a couple of pages back... Barca have a colour scheme that's unique to them, even so they pretty much always have stripes... very seldomly deviate from that, but can afford to because their colours are so instantly identifyable.
