Adidas are pretty much template teams too. Innovation and originality seem to be a void of Adidas and Nike. They like cold hard cash and multi-usage designs.

You could look at that and say Adidas stuff is iconic, it's hardly changed since the 70's...Holland & WG wearing classic Adidas strips in the WC Final. They tend not to mess with strips and colours which is part of the reason we are complaining about Nike? At least you know what you will get with an Adidas strip, something that identifies the team

I know that stripes down the side of the torso is the generic design this year, but which kit looked better? and I as I said if you could get adidas to do a kit produced under the originals brand, which would be off template

Not necessararly, the Jeremy Scott collection for one shows that the originals brand has evolved from when started to now be a division of adidas that makes classic designs of the past and nee modern concepts. The Beckenbauer golf and Island series released last year also are nowt like the originals, but modern versions.

Obviously gazzelles, sambas, bambas, dragons etc are classic retro casual classics and I have pairs of them plus many others and buy them because they are classics, but originals come in both retro and modern in recent years

09/10 home shirt was one of the best we've had. No nonsense, classic design/colours, good quality.
