Next seasons home shirt (allegedly)

Looks even worse and I didn't think that was possible. It doesn't matter if the players wear it without shorts, with their bollocks hanging out and no socks, it's a fucking joke!

It's not great but it's for one season. The season after will be more traditional and you'll all love that but once again that will only be for one season. I'd suggest people need to calm down a bit. The kids will love it and after all, that's who it's aimed at.

Again, people are making the mistake of "grown men shouldn't wear footy shirts" – it's not about what fans look like in the shirt, or about buying it for your kids!

It's about tradition
, it's about our identity, it's about reclaiming the club's colours, and most of all it's about not being fucked about by Nike!

Hi

On the subject of shirts, we posted this a few weeks ago. Many thanks to those who have completed the survey - we've had over 2,500 responses from across the 92 league clubs.

We're closing the survey at the end of the month and analysing the data - so if you haven't completed it yet, and would like to, you've got until then.

As a bonus, you get to see all City's historic kits, back to the days of blue and white halves!

We are currently researching the growth in the buying and wearing of replica football shirts by adult fans since the 1970s. We are aiming to gather the experiences and opinions of fans who have bought or been given replica shirts (be it occasionally or every season!), and of fans who have never owned a replica shirt. We are keen to hear from fans of all ages - and particularly those aged over 40, who might have bought replica shirts in the 1980s and early 1990s.

We'd be very grateful if you'd be willing to complete our short survey (should take 5 minutes at most).

You can access it at the link below.

It's not about who its aimed at to buy, it's about the traditions of a football team playing in their traditional club colours.

It's the equivalent of United running out in red shirts with black sleeves, red shorts and white socks. It's just not right.

I agree about the shorts, that shouldn't be messed with but maybe Nike believe they are giving a nod to our history. It's not like it hasn't been done before, it's there for all to see and way before Nike. We've had plenty of smart kits and plenty of bad ones by a fair few manufacturers. We're hamstrung by Nikes shitty template for this year but it isn't THAT bad. We've had far far worse. The majority of you are grown men for fuck sake, you must have more pressing concerns. I'm big into my kits by the way, it's not that I don't care I just think some are being a bit melodramatic. Good day to you all.
