Neymar

Well done to Paris.

They have basically bought insurance against any further dodgy moves by Uefa and the established cartel of clubs.

There is not a commercial sponsor out there who would pay to sponsor a competition that didn't include Neymar.

It was different before, they didn't have anyone of any worldwide standing.

They have got in there first, ahead of our own dreams of similarly purchasing Messi, but the end game is mutually beneficial for both clubs.

If we were smart, we would push the envelope now on both Mbappe and Sanchez.
Sounds nice, it's just not true though is it?

Before they had Ibrahimovic, Verratti, Silva etc and were still punished, the pressure on UEFA by their darlings Barcelona, as well as cohorts such as Bayern and Juventus, will be enormous now. The attention on this deal means it's make or break for FFP.

PSG are more likely than ever to be banned.

You thought Tevez/Mario's antics were bad enough here? Neymar Jr + Neymar Snr is a disaster.Neymar would ask to leave every other end season here citing different reasons ie.weather, not feeling loved enough, pay rise and not forgetting he'd want to skip matches every March to attend his sister's birthday parties.
Phenomenal player but comes with too much baggage and still acts like an 11 year old alongside his father.Khaldoon,Txixi alongside Pep and Neymar Snr/Wagner Ribeiro wouldn't hold.

Neymar is on a different scale to those players you mention IMO.

He is a commercial monster, unrivalled outside of Messi and Ronaldo.

There is a reason La Liga chiefs are also upset, it is bound to impact their bargaining power when it comes to negotiating the South American rights.

You might be right that Uefa will still try it on, but money talks, as this deal has shown.

Don't underestimate the influence of sponsors.. they had a big say in the downfall of many corrupt UEFA and FIFA officials. Most fans want to see world class footballers.. as do the sponsors who pay them huge fees.

Especially given the age of Ronaldo and Messi. They need the next big thing. Mbappe or Dembele or whoever.

The bigger the beast...

FFP for UEFA is a long-term investment.
