Neymar

Is he really going to PSG? I've not really followed it but see the gossip headlines. Who are they gonna replace him with? I'm pretty sure they will fancy Mbappe but surely he's off to Madrid?
 
Barcelona make me laugh, they play up to all of this 'more than a club' bollocks whilst constantly pillaging other clubs for their best players but when ( for once) the shoe is on the other foot, they threaten to report PSG for FFP issues if they sign Neymar.
They really are a vile cynical club
 
Neymar is irreplaceable but if Barca sign 2 from Coutinho/Dembele/Dybala with money left over it's not the end of the world. They still have Suarez and Messi.

I think he is only irreplaceable from a marketing standpoint. He is kind of like Pogba in the sense that, while being GREAT footballers, they are only elevated above other top tier players by their marketing prowess. Don't get me wrong, Neymar is a top 10 player int he world right now. But for the money being thrown about, you could buy 3 or 4 great players to add depth and longevity. It's not like you aren't going to score goals now with just Messi, Suarez, Rakatic, Iniesta, etc.
 
Really cannot believe he wants to go and play in that league, Premiership yes and possibly Bundesliga. The guy is very talented without doubt but I think the advise he is getting is bad.
Iam sure his father is quite happy with the £22m he will pocket and couldn't give 2 shits who his son he kicks a ball for.

well said.for that matter, Catalans are sounding out top European sides to form an anti-PSG front...

Barcelona representatives over the last few days have been calling their big European club partners to bring about an anti-Paris front.
Barcelona intend to portray Les Parisiens as a menace to the established order and will try to marginalise them on the continental stage. Barcelona know that they have messed up enormously and are trying to save face with this pity-party effort.
Unfortunately for Les Parisiens, this strategy seems to be working as Bayern Munich and Juventus have responded favourably to calls from Barcelona, according to L’Équipe.
Barcelona President Bartomeu wants to file a legal complaint against PSG for tapping up Neymar… the irony being that it was the Brazilian’s representatives who sounded out the Ligue 1 side first and not the other way around…
 
I know they are talking about an amortised deal over 5 years but this surely takes the focus away from our transfer dealings to date

PSG seem to be confident they are inside the rules OR they have friends in high places (or both)
 
Fs Barca we're on the decline this will just propel them back to the top. They'll buy three world class players wit that money.

Apparently PSG said they had 200m to spend this summer and buying 1 player with wages probably like buying 5/6 players or on a decent wage.
