Can any of our American brethren fill us in on this (alleged) bullying scandal that's going on down in Miami? It sounds pretty horrendous, going by what's supposed to have been said. Also, is it big news outside of Miami/Florida?

Yeah it's huge news. What happened depends on who you believe. It has to be said most of the Miami dressing room appear to be on the side of the bully, who himself has apologised for a racist insult he made. He said him and the victim often talk to each other in a crass way and that he had received a message from the victim saying he was gonna kill his family. What confuses it more is it seems in the NFL the rookies get a bit of a tough time from the veterans, having to clean their boots, carry things for them, picking up expensive bar bills etc. It appears this is what the rest of the Miami players think was going on.
It's all a bit mental and you'll probably never know the full truth. What is obvious is that dressing room 'banter' (I hate that word) has probably gone too far.

Sad to report that Todd Christensen TE with the great Raiders team of the early 80's has died while receiving a liver transplant.
Great player in his day and taken way too young at just 57
