There is a lot of emphasis and popularity on the exercise of draft picking but the reality is that it is much better to allow the computer pick for you. Out of my four teams, I got the best record 11-3 in the only one that was autopicked.
This is the case with Free Agent as well. It was the only team that was drafted automatically and it was clear from the beginning that it had a very strong, if not the strongest roster in the league. If a team has Demarco Murray, Matt Forte, Alshon Jeffery and Dez Bryant then I am afraid it is job done, thank you very much and good night when it comes to winning the league. The only reason Free Agent was not 14-0 or close was because there was nobody to edit and adjust the team during the bye weeks.
So I am not surprised that the Free Agent dominated the league.
As for me, I cannot complain really. I had a disastrous draft, where I tried to over complicate things.Although the choice of picking Jamaal Charles over Adrian Peterson as the No1 pick was in retrospect a decision that payed off and probably got me to the playoffs.I cant complain about Orange Julius in the third round either. Anyway, after of the bad draft, I managed to salvage a season by living off the waver wire, I mean, I really attacked that waver wire. I started slowly as I struggled to find a team but pulled off six wins in a row to get into the playoffs. Unfortunately too many of my studs decided to have a bad day at the same and most important time but I cannot complain because I managed the heck out of my team and at least I am in the championship game in two out of my four leagues :)
