NFL 2014

Rex Ryan finding a good QB is the problem, as witnessed at the Jets.
Exactly, which is why I thought he would hold out for our HC job and by all reports we were his preferred destination but he didn't want to wait. Given our owners recent loss he pushed other interviews back meaning, understandably delaying the hiring process. Poor from Rex if he didn't account for that.

Our defence may be shocking but that's his forte and something he could mould whilst already having a franchise QB and a top 10 offence.

As far as I'm aware Buffalo's cap isn't too bad BUT they have players they need to and will re-sign and that will leave them very, very little room for additions via free agency; certainly no QB of Rivers' standard. The draft seems the only immediate option for another QB and Rex sucks at that.

They also lack a running game and Spiller won't be re-signed although the less said about his season the better. Rex needed a team already built on offence and one that could utilize his defensive mind. He's gone for a good defence with no offence. He's swapped the Jets for the Jets imo

All the best to him, just don't understand it really.

Bowles it is.

Catch or no catch?

I say fuck 'em.

It's the right decision but the rule is wrong imo. It should be that he was down by contact way before the ball bobbled. At the time his knee hit the ground he was in full control of the ball so for me it should be a catch. Also, if the ball never touches the ground it should be a catch.

Reckon they might look at the rule after that. Was a great play by Dez and it deserved to stand even if the refs are technically correct.

No catch. Ironic that they are undone by a questionable call (not really questionable tbh, there was no control there when it hit the ground) after last weeks pass interference debacle.

To be fair, he bobbled the ball making a "football move".

If I'm honest I believe it was a catch; he took 3 steps after catching it and his knee was down before it bobbled up whilst in the processing of extending his arm towards the endzone.

I can see why Cowboy's fans are upset but once again fuck 'em. They weren't upset last week.

I had similar feelings towards the 49ers 2 years ago.

I just read Cowboys fans talking about the three steps - football move. They have a point.

Just watched it again, they do have a point. If he had settled for a 1st on the 1, chances are they would have punched it in next play anyway, hard to think like that in the spur of the moment, cant blame the lad for trying to get in but it ultimately cost them. Crazy stuff.

Looking forward to Denver/Indy now, another game with cracking subtext.

it's a shame there is so much over refereeing in the NFL. Technically yes it may have been the right call but bl00dy hell it takes away from the spectacle of the game
