I go out of my way to see the football (obviously) and some of the boxing, that's it. Cricket's good for a background light, rugby's alright when you see someone bleed, but anything else can be best described as wank.

NO NO NO you fool womens beach volleyball

Topless darts.

Wresting - mud - not that mamby pamby WWF or whatever it is.

It could catch on.

I went to the Bears v Chargers game a few weeks back and it was brilliant (but freezing). It goes so much faster in real life, it's the adverts that make it seem so slow.

There's no way the game could be any quicker though. There are over 50 men on a match day squad and they rotate pretty much every single play so to get the subs rolling on and off for the different plays it's bound to take it's time.

As for the pads=pussies comments you're living in cloud cuckoo land. The hits in the NFL are ten times harder than rugby including head first half the time or even when 10 guys could be jumping on the one with the ball. Also, the injuries sustained in the NFL are like no other sport in the world. This year alone there must be at least 20 players with torn ACL.

Besides, I was brought up absolutely loving cricket and golf so 3 hours for a sport is nothing!

Concussions are becoming a serious problem too. The pads actually allow players to hit each other harder and I would argue cause more serious injuries

Helmet to Helmet tackling was made illigel last season to cut this out of the game

That's true actually. Without pads the game would be much less interesting and probably a hell of a lot safer.

Stupidest game ever, imo.

Watch the Giants now and then with a friend who's a fanatic, saw 90sec take @ 10 minutes two weeks back. Its just a dumb game.

The injuries are a joke to get injured with all that protection is hard to beleive they are pussies in my view. To be honest from what I have seen the tackles arent that bad. I would love to see a rugby player play and see how they get on in all areas. The players are much more able for the phiscal side of the game and to be padded up they would be bullit proof in American football.
