Packer/Giants last weekend was a great watch. But, if you dont like it, you dont like it, and I certainly cba trying to change your mind.

There's no way the game could be any quicker though. There are over 50 men on a match day squad and they rotate pretty much every single play so to get the subs rolling on and off for the different plays it's bound to take it's time.
As for the pads=pussies comments you're living in cloud cuckoo land. The hits in the NFL are ten times harder than rugby including head first half the time or even when 10 guys could be jumping on the one with the ball. Also, the injuries sustained in the NFL are like no other sport in the world. This year alone there must be at least 20 players with torn ACL.
Besides, I was brought up absolutely loving cricket and golf so 3 hours for a sport is nothing!

Concussions are becoming a serious problem too. The pads actually allow players to hit each other harder and I would argue cause more serious injuries
