There's a lad on our street, he's only 5/6, shall we sign him because he's younger than Kante as well?

Kante is a good player, very good in fact but he's not currently better than what we have. We've spent far too much money recently on signings that don't actually improve the first XI, Kante doesn't get in our first XI without injuries or suspensions. Why not buy someone who is actually better than Fernandinho, if that means waiting till one becomes available then we wait. Everyone is in such a panic to sign players and there's no need, guaranteed next season there will be a new flavour of the month and everyone will be screaming that we have to sign him as well.

I'm not gonna go into more argument. Let's just agree to disagree as I think Kante is able to go full steam for 90 mins while Dinho can't, and that's where Kante wins.

Dinho can't? thats news to me and he has had to cover for yaya as well as do his own job,he is the better player

There are some games where he's noticeably gassed towards the end of the games. Dinho is already 31. He can't go for much longer.

He is 30 i think and has plenty left to give,when yaya wasn't next to him he was fantastic,way too much writing off of the team going on for me

He's 31. We need another midfielder, especially if we're going to go three at the back, and Kante is one of the better CMs that might be available. Also the fee is pretty damn cheap for Kantes quality. I don't think anybody is slagging off fern it's just that it's time to start preparing for down the road. True or not, some also see Gundogan as injury prone. I see where you're coming from though Karen.
 
Thought Fernandinho was going to right back?

Now back to Kante. Hope City sign Kante. He would add intensity to our side.

It's not so much writing off, more like reinforcements. If Dinho plays less games he will be playing better in the games that he plays. The way we were set up, Dinho had to play almost every game. Games that he didn't play, we didn't look very good. We were also fortunate as he was practically injury free for the season. Kante and Dinho can play together.

I agree, would be buzzin if we signed him personally.
 
Fernandinho turned 31 last month, personally I would be looking for some form of succession planning to help his legs last. He can keep up a high standard for a good few years yet but he can't be expected to play every game doing the amount of work he currently does or he will get burnt out. Someone like Kante can play the same role, so could rotate, but also playing alongside Dinho they would be a tough midfield for bigger games, add in Gundogan you've got a top midfield there.
 
Why do folks ignore the obvious? In multiple games last season Dihno was gassed at the end. The most recent against Arsenal where he couldn't keep up with the goalscorer.

Kante is superior defensively, he is more energetic, has a longer engine and he is just as aggressive. Now I don't even like Kante personally, but he is what he is, an energizer bunny that never stops. Being 25 helps.

Having him and Dihno on the squad give you options in that position. Against good teams you play Kante, against teams who will seat back you play Dihno. And when you get Bayern, Barca or Madrid, you play both just ahead of Gundogan to stifle the other team. There is little downside here, whether you think he is better than Dihno or not.
 
He is brilliant this guy, decent on the ball, never stops running, amazing tackling basically what I thought Fernando would be. Doubt he will leave Leicester this summer though. Certainly think we need an extra mid on top of Gundogan though as Delph and Fernando are wank and fuck knows whats happening with Yaya.

That is a perfectly balanced midfield to me

Bit harsh that mate. I gave you a few genuine links the other day. :) Everything is very quiet because he said he wanted to focus on the euros and not make a decision until they are done - but the French media who in this instance will be far more reliable than the British, are saying that it's Arsenal, Chelsea, and City at the table along with PSG.
 
We don't need Kante or any alike DM. We need Kroos or someone like him to carry the building up from the backline. And with Pep we might even see Fernandinho or Yaya ending up as a CB.
