Really underrated player, he was brilliant at holding the ball up and I can't ever remember anyone getting the better of him in the air. As everyone else has said, he is a great character, an absolute gentleman and always has a good word to say about City.
His autobiography is a great read, there was a story where he was out on the piss with someone (could have been Merson?) and all the pubs had shut so they got on the overnight train from London to Manchester and back again because they could buy beer on the train all night!
