Why's he on the Sky Sports analysis line up when he's the Sunderland Chairman playing at home. Regardless of the City/Sunderland connection, a club chairman should be in the stand watching, IMO.

it's not so much the drinking i'm getting at as much as his apparent lack of loyalty. i appeciate his support of lake but that's a show of friendship more than a sign of his passion for the club. he wanted to leave sooner but didn't get the right offer.

A biased twat is all I can say really! For anyone who saw his analysis etc. on Skysports surely you must agree? Didn't stop talking about Sunderland! Pissed me off even more! Ended up being my relief shouting abuse at the irish mug!

The man is a fucking legend.
The worst you can say about him is that he has a tendency to embelish.
Apart from that, he's been very influential in steadying our going up, going down ship.
He likes the area. Similar to Ireland. Gambling, beer, horses etc. So he decided to help us out, which he has - more than any of us could have dreamed of.

It does piss me off though that after 6 and half years at City (longer than Sunderland), 2 top 5 finishes, all his time at City in the top flight, playing 2 WCs whilst with us and being inducted into the City Hall Of Fame , he seems to have a bit of a void in his memory cortex when it comes to us. Most Mackems seem to think he never even played for the blues or only played a handfull of games in a couple of seasons.
