Makes a good brew as well. Could be Peps new tea boy.
I think Ruben Dias was relatively unknown wasn’t he? He was ok.
I have/had no idea who it was/is, I was just saying how every journalist knew we were in for someone but nobody knew who, even off the record, which is a very strange situation. Journalists know 99% of things happening even if they don't know it strong enough to go to print with it. But nobody seems to have had a name so it was odd and worthy of comment. Is this the mystery transfer?
So we won't pay the release clause which is around £52 million. Thats an absolute bargain so get it done. Absolutely ridiculous

It’s an old quote before Barca ‘fucked him off’.I always thought he was from the Manchester region in Spain, seriously what does his comment even mean? Does this mean he thinks the current club he plays for is a part of Barcelona?

Sometimes maybe. It would give us lots of options though, with KDB , Foden,Silva, Kovacic,Gundogan all options assuming Gonzales was played as a 6So if we get this guy
Our midfield would be
Gonzales
Silva Kovacic
With
Foden Haaland Marmoush
Up front?
We have nothing to lose. We would have already agreed personal terms. Either we negotiate to save millions or we hit the button on the last day. People are talking about £10m like it's nothing. That's nearly 15% of our entire matchday revenue for the whole year.It does seem strange that this one time we dont do it? Unless Mendes knows something and can get it done for less?

Or we don't think he's that good and we walk.
Correct.....but the point is, the 'sell on' doesn't mean they can say no if the clause is met, or hold out for more, and without it, we could still say no, or offer less.....same as any other player with one, so the 'sell on' is irrelevant.Sell on is not irrelevant. It makes a difference to how much Porto get and, therefore, the are likely to insist on the full release clause amount which we currently are baulking at, apparently.
From what I read, he is more of an #8, box-to-box midfield who can double as a #6. So it looks like we are shopping for someone like Guimaraes. Porto fans seem to be fairly upset over losing him.
In any case, fresh legs in midfield is going to be good for us.
