Akanji hasn’t sprinted in about 8 games
I’d prefer Khusanov, and Pep has said the same.
I can't trust what i haven't seen yet. I can hope Khusa will be great. But i haven't seen it yet.

Vitor looks even more promising with his technical ability. But can't state it until I see it

I assume this bloke wasn’t our first choice given the timing.

If we’re paying the release clause, albeit with a different structure in terms of payment schedule, then it begs the question as to why we didn’t do it in the first week of January.
That’s too easy mate but tbh I think he’s a good player

I’d normally agree, but these are odd circumstances and it may need a go.

Does anyone go on any Porto fans forums?

Fans views are usually a key sign that this is good news or not for us.

If they are gutted, happy days. If not, throw him on the Nunes and Phillips pile.

Leeds were absolutely gutted to lose Phillips for "just" £42m.

While Akanji, who is having a poor season but was a key part of our treble win in his debut season, was being waved good riddance by Dortmund fans for £15m.

This guy really looks the business. A future Rodri. Get excited we are building another dynasty.

Look at all the build up Khusanov got! Probably be this time next year if we do sign him that he’ll be used to the PL and Pep’s way of playing.

Good if we get him in though, definitely need young, energetic midfielders.

Yes! I’ve been translating the forum since we were linked.

Most think he is very good and are sad to see him go.

Some think he will struggle due to his lack of pace in England and he would be better suited to Spain.

majority seem to rate him very highly

I'm hope he hits the ground running and proves people on this thread wrong .

A fine talent that only left Barcelona because of their financial state . They tried shift Frenkie DeJong instead but he wouldn't go because nobody else would pay him the salary he was on .

Can play the 6 and then play the 8 with Rodri .

Those 2 boys and another midfielder in the summer should bring much needed physicality back to our line up . No more getting pushed around .
