If Pep genuinely believes that it was a pen, then Otamendi is fucked after also getting sent off. I don’t think Pep will trust him again, given he has already fallen out of favour this season.
He doesn't. Pep unlike some of our fans isn't biased against one of ours nor is he stupid.

The penalty should never have been given. This, he should not have been given the first yellow. The 2nd yellow was a basic foul. Pep is just being the good diplomat. He won, there is no advantage to whining.

Otamendi was fine. He like Kev and David Silva ( our 2 best players) gave balls away.

He played well. Blame the ref for being biased.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him still getting picked for games after this. And I do think he can be relied upon in big games.
Seeing as he was ok. This should not be a surprising comment. But somehow it won't surprise me if objections follow :)

pep is really pissed at him. Of course he has also praised his heart/spirit before, and I think genuinely likes him as a competitor. But can’t see it if stones and Laporte are both available that he’d pick him for a cl knockout from here on out. No way he’d have played tonight were stones not injured.

Not many squads can boast the quality of centre halves we can but this lad is 4th choice for a reason,he always has a huge fuck up in him.

Yep, poor Nic gets the blame for some errors which to be fair are only made when he's bailing out the likes of Walker and Delph !!

Guardiola is smart enough to realise when a player has let him down and when a player has been a victim of the circumstances. Delph has evidently not learned and would appear to be out in the cold; the risk in playing him now is simply too great when any mistake could have serious repercussions. Otamendi was moving his hand away from the ball and the forward made a three-course meal of minimal contact. Ask yourself this, if Otamendi was genuinely going through the back of the player, do you think that was his best effort?

Delph is injured.

The handball was a joke,he did his best not to commit an offence and a penalty was wrong. As for the second yellow,he was incredibly daft for making that challenge, and it's not a one off.

On the plus,it forced us into a more free flowing and more direct brand of football.

Didn't realise Delph was injured, and think you're being a tad harsh on that 'challenge'. Agree that it forced us to attack even more, but I also think our sense of grievance seemed to become even greater. And after that first half, that's hard to say. :-)

Had a stinker last night the handball was dodgy as hell with the ref deciding to make his own rules up. But he could quite easily have cost us the game last night. Against the better sides we would have been punished for that school boy error last night. As I have said we really need to look at moving the General on and getting something back for him to put towards an upgrade. The only saving grace about next game is he is banned and Stones will be back.

Should we be thinking about moving on all the others who make silly errors that may cost against better sides or have you just got a beef with Ota?
