There's been no connection whatsoever, they don't need money and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't exactly be ecstatic with swapping Milan for Manchester.
Cha chingWhy would Inter sell their best player at this stage?
Do you not think that seeing the City players lifting old big ears would make him think I could play in that team knowing that it's unlikely that Inter will get to final again in the near future. There's been no connection whatsoever, they don't need money and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't exactly be ecstatic with swapping Milan for Manchester.
Maybe the lad likes a bit of Vimpto to wash down the chips and gravyThere's been no connection whatsoever, they don't need money and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't exactly be ecstatic with swapping Milan for Manchester.
They would need to receive an offer they couldn't possibly refuse. That's the only way. The reality is whoever we bring in this late is going to be heavily overpriced. I think 80-100m euros (reportedly, that's what they want) for Barella is very reasonable compared to the alternative and their respective price tags. Why would Inter sell their best player at this stage?
They wont, its just wishful thinking from desperate City fans (I dont blame them). Feels extremely unlikely and I hope City prioritise the last few precious days of the transfer window focusing on players we have a real chance of signing. The last thing City needs to do right now is wasting time on trying to get Wirtz/Barella, deals that almost certainly wont happen at this stage of the transfer window since the likelihood of Leverkusen/Inter demanding a fee City will think is "reasonable" feels completely unrealistic. Just my opinion, but I'm just a dumb fan so what do I know :)Why would Inter sell their best player at this stage?
