Nicola Sturgeon

No, but a good electoral return for the SNP in the forthcoming election, along with the ongoing Brexit clusterfuck, undoubtedly strengthen her position.

Her issue is many vote for them because Labour is finished up here but, and I know this but as I've worked with many, they simply do not want independence and won't ever vote for it.

They could well end up with 53 MP's but it is not a mandate for leaving the union.

Scotland is sectarian as well and the unionists wil not vote in enough numbers for it.

I’m a Scottish unionist. I don’t despise her at all. We turned out last time to vote for Ruth D and her party. That worked well didn’t it?
Well the Scottish Unionists I’ve met hate her with a passion and were at pains to point out that she doesn’t speak for the whole of Scotland. I just have a feeling the election in Scotland isn’t going to be the walk in the park some seem to think. The Unionist voice isn’t being heard at the moment and that’s a hell of a lot of people who are frustrated at the way their country is being portrayed.

Yeah, the polls on independence are incredibly close and it would be very difficult to predict the outcome if they had another referendum. Might take the Queen getting involved again to swing it for the unionists once more ;)

There is no unionist voice in Scotland because there is no Unionist political leadership. Who will we vote for I wonder? The Tories that are taking us out of EU? Labour where Corbyn is promising Indyref2? So who is going to spoil her ‘walk in the park’ do you think?

What will swing it imo is 5 more years of Boris. That will do it.

They do like the Queen those Unionists up here ;-)

More pertinently, the Tories that are threatening the entire union as a result of the border in the Irish Sea?

I don’t see her ideology as extreme and I’m guessing most Scots would agree with me. In this time it’s a perfectly valid question to ask. Some would say that it is extreme for a country to be ripped out of a Union against the will of its people. It just depends on the lense you look through.

Whether you see her as that or not doesn’t matter.

I know but two wrongs don’t make a right now do they.
