I don't think he's worth it.

I hate to agree with you on anything, but unfortunately I do on this one.

IMO, he is not worth it and he is not BIG upgrade on what we currently have.

from his current Wiki page

Benfica
S.L. Benfica confirmed on 3 May 2010 that they had reached an agreement to sign Gaitán for €8.4 million[1] as a replacement for fellow Argentine Ángel di María, who had departed for Real Madrid.[2] He made his debut for the club against Académica in a 2–1 win, and scored his first two goals for the club in a 4–0 victory over Naval. In his first season in Portugal, Gaitán made 26 appearance and scored seven goals. As of 7 December 2011, Gaitán has assisted the most goals in the 2011–12 UEFA Champions League season with five. On the 16th February, Benfica made a gentleman's agreement with Manchester City for the signature of Gaitan in the summer. The fee is expected to be around £30 million

odd?

Who has access to edit wiki posts...anyone right? If so, this can't be true. I HOPE to god it is though as it would really get under Un***d and their fans!

I just checked and someone has changed it to "On the 16th February, Benfica made a gentleman's agreement with Manchester United for the signature of Gaitan in the summer"

probably done by a rag

He looks good but nothing more. Utd can spend 35m of their non existent transfer fund on the kid.

We'll get two better players for less than that in RVP and AO-C.

Arsenal are missing out on Champions League not going into administration. AO-C won't be sold.

I was impressed with what I saw of him tonight against Chelsea.

He's versatile. On the right, he can both cut inside and drive forward.

He was playing on the left tonight and whipped in a lot of good crosses. They had a lot of variety in them as well. Lofted crosses, pacey crosses, and low driven crosses.

He set up a free header, and almost forced an own goal from Ashley Cole when he drilled a low cross along the 6 yard box.

He also beat several players but that wasn't his job tonight.

He looks the part as someone that can provide us with the quality we're lacking from wide areas but also play a squad role when required.

Imo oponion the rags will sign him and hope he will turn out to be Modric, Gaitan is a wide player, is he as good as Nani, Valencia or Ashley Young? imho, NO! is he good enough to play as a Central Midfielder in a 4(Rooney and one of little penis and Nasharks friends will partner granny shagger) Assuming it is one of Anderson, Carrick or Zidane, no NDJ,Yaya, Milner, Barry are better, even Parker,Sandro, Gerrard, Song,Ramieres, Lampard,Essien, Fellaini I could go on would do a better job in a rag 4-4-2.
