Not happy about this at all, would love to know exactly what's gone on here, the figures certainly don't seem to add up, right at this moment it really feels like Milan have pulled our pants down and slapped us on the arse (again) with this if it goes through, personally I'd pull the plug at the last minute just to pull them down a peg or two.

Whichever way you look at it, we have really messed up this window. If the strategy was to go for a small no. of top players so be it. Stick to the list and do what we can. But to fire sell players like De Jong at this stage defies logic. Can only hope it isnt true but it says much more about our management (on and off field).

last year of contract:

rvp: 20m

nasri: 20m

sinclair: 20m

walcott: arsenal demand 15m

ndj: 3.5m

But they stop players scoring and allow others to score! Underrated!

absolutely furious at this, if we replace de jong with rodwell we have taken an almighty step backwards

Problem is, defensive midfielders who dont score goals have a limited value.

All the above (save ndj) score.

We paid 16mil or so for De Jong when we bought him with a year-18 months left on his contract since he came here he has improved and is a highly rated part of our squad. His wages aren't sky high so that isn't the problem for taking a low price. Shocking bit of business again by city, and somebody really needs to be held accountable for these deals. We are paying about 3 mil more for sinclair than we are reportedly getting for De Jong that doesn't make sense and if someone can explain how these are good deals for city please do cause I ain't seeing it

You don't know if he is being replaced by a better player yet, wait till the window shuts

Can't understand those saying wait and see if we replace him.
It's not the fact he has been sold and replaced thats the issue its the price we've supposedly let him leave for, £3.5M that's absurd if true.

Maybe after the FFPR every pound conunts, NDJ is not "really" in Mancini's plan and will not play alot.

There are two options for City, keeping him unhappy and paying his wages which could be 2-5 Million and then he leaves for nothing or sell him for 3 Millions and save another few millions from his wages ?

De Jong hasn't ask for a transfer his fee will most likely me £3.5m + whatever the remainder of his contract pay off is.

I heard that the total cost of Adebayor's sale was over £10m - £4m to City with the remainder to Adebayor for his contract.
