Nigel Farage stepping down ... again.

He helped get us out of Europe so he did a fine job.

His views may be a bit towards the right but at least he's honest rather than the rest of the money grabbing, two faced fuckers in parliament.

Smart move by Nigel Farage. Andrea Leadsom would have had Andrew Marr's accusation constantly thrown at her that she would use Nigel as a negotiator in the coming talks. Theresa May would have used it as a weapon against her and the Tory waverers would have baulked at the idea and voted for May. By leaving the field of play he has in effect done Andrea Leadsom a huge favour. No doubt he'll be back in another role later when Leadsom gets the nod.

And here I thought "doing a fine job" actually meant finishing the job and taking responsibility.

But then, being well paid for 17 years for being an mep (not a "proper job" in his own words") and attending virtually none of 42 fisheries committe meetings while claiming to be working for fishermen counts as honest, non- "money grabbing" behaviour in brexit terminology, so shouldn't expect too much I guess.

Farage isn't an elected MP so he cannot take any part whatsoever in negotiations or anything at all moving forwards. It is only right he steps down from politics as he is a campaigner and he campaigned to leave the EU which we now are going to do.

No he didn't - he was one of a number of political figures who campaigned for and got a leave vote n a non binding referendum on whether or not the UK is to remain part of the EU. Then like a number of the others beat a hasty retreat when they realised that the amount of backsliding b those not quitting meant they has not got their will.

He never got elected as a UK MP.

I see he plans to help other countries campaign to leave the EU. That virtually ensures the EU will be happy for us to opt out of free movement as that would likely mean they will not allow free movement of UK citizens and so can stop Farage going to their countries spreading his poisonous hate.

My one regret at him going now is that he won't be able to crow when the police find that there were political misdemeanours to keep him out of a seat in South Thanet.

Somebody should have told Andrew Marr then because he asked Andrea Leadsom if she would involve Farage in the exit talks.
