Nigel Winterburn

I agree with everything he said to be honest. Are we really expected to believe that a man Wenger got rid off because he was past his sell by date 4 years ago and has played very little football recently in a much slower and less physical league than our own and who is not wanted by mourinho is all of a sudden gonna start terrorising premiership midfields again.Call me cynical but i very much doubt it. Add to the equation that we probably have the best defensive midfielder in the world right now (dejong) with barry and Kompany also in the mix then this seems like a very strange signing. He never said anything about being a squad player but that he is coming to play so he can get in the french world cup squad.Very worrying if you ask me.Still, in Roberto I trust!!!

He has played almost 70 games in that 3 years, not too bad. Plus I cant see us playing him in the same role he had at Arsenal, when he plays Id imagine he would play right in front of the defence, if not at the back, which involves a lot less work. You dont lose your footballing brain at the end of the day.

Good points mate, from the Inter game yesterday to me it looked like he was doing the Hamann role, just in front of the back 4. He'll be a great addition to the squad.

Remember when them twats signed Larsson who was well past it, and IMO didnt even do well when he got here? That was classed as a 'Fergie masterstroke'. Yet when we sign an experienced World Cup winner, who is a lot younger every idiot gets rolled out having a pop. Cant wait til we can shut them all up.

Also Larsson had never played in the EPL

When you say right in front of the defence, do you mean instead of dejong or aswell as,if aswell as then that makes no sense,if instead of that makes even less. And when you consider we play about 38 league games a season plus league cup, fa cup and europe I dont think 70 games over three years is an awful lot.And the difference in our league to Italy is massive in terms of pace and physical contact. I hope Im wrong, I really do.I shall be giving him my full backing by the way.

i'd listen to merson before him or even alan smith,, maybe even a locked up degenerate drunk tony adams before id take any notice of that hobbit winterburn... They can say whatever the fuck the want to because they cant halt what we are doing ,and i rek most managers would have took him to their clubs, given the chance... Everyone was saying saha was a bad signing for blue dippers,, he was a washed up crock.. Not had a patch like this since his fulham days.. the prem suits vierra, and will relish the haussle and bussle, after a few yrs away.. Henry next eh??

Also, many of them descibed the twat Owen as a masterstroke.

It's the media giving the likes of that twat an airing that gets to me, I have just ranted about this elsewhere. At the very least they might have mentioned that Wenger sues not agree with the twats Winterburn and Parlour, by which I mean if they are going to give the twat's point of view, they need to allowing others to give the opposite.

SCUM!

I'd change the channel if I was you Pam. Sounds like you are about to put your foot through the telly.

I have turned it off twice so far.
