Umbro was nice. Nike will just take the rag kit and swap the colours and badge. They did this with their other kits, look at Juventus and Barca. :(

For me the interesting part of this deal is the quote by City about R&D facilities. These don't strike me as something vital for football shirt deals over another company.
It could be our arrangement with Nike might have something to do with the Etihad campus, given the date this deal comes online and the estimated build time of the site?
Didn't we make use of Nike R&D facilities (training, medical etc.) on the tour of the US last year?
Perhaps a broader, strategic link up beckons?
