We're only making about £6million a season with Umbro, I'd expect the Nike deal to bag us something like £25million a season. United are on a £30million a season deal with Nike so people couldn't complain if we make £25million a season.

Really? wow, that would be immense..why haven't they released the figures or at least an estimate..

to allow other competitors to try and buy the contract out/we don't want any neighbours getting jealous that their girlfriend left them for a bigger more dynamic model

Hopefully they don't just make generic shit and change the colours like they've done in the past.

If our deal is worth £25 million a season i will lick your bell end, surely £15 max at the moment

plain and simple this is a money decision there is nike shops across the world where our kits can be placed, the kits may not be as good but the reasoning behind it is sound.

But they sell Umbro kits in Nike stores anyway....at least they do with ours in town.

So new Umbro kit this season, new Umbro kit next season and new Nike kit the season after.... expensive business this for the fans!!

Well, I'm more interested to know if we'll get any additional revenue for officially being sponsored by Nike. They must have improved the contract based on our current standing and the players we have..

Of course they did, I guess only 2-3 City games were not shown on TV this season, it's a huge audience that Umbro enjoyed for bargain for one season, now it's time for Nike to pay the real money.

Slovenia away, change green stripe to maroon, not too bad?

Zenit.jpg

Zenit's kit is very Umbro 90's...

starting to be swayed over

It was reported way back that we were going to get £26m per season from Umbro from next season I think.

My guess is that this deal will see a figure north of that, maybe £30m-£35m per season.

Sorry mate. It seems this may well of always been the idea with Umbro signing us on the 10 year deal.

We get more popular then Nike take the brand

Fuck that is really shit though, great partnership with Umbro developers

There's nothing to stop them using Umbro to design our shirts going forward and then just putting a swoosh instead of a diamond on them. I'm not suggesting that it what they will do but hopefully tradition will take some part in the process; however, the Nike people will no doubt be looking for designs that work globally and factoring everything they know about the demographics etc of shirt sales. In the era of FFPR, we can only view this as a good financial move and a necessary one.

I think Nike have produced some very nice kits for other clubs but they have delivered a few horrors too. I trust that the club have final sign off on any kit and will therefore make sure that we keep getting designs of the standard that we have seen since the return to Umbro.
