Listened to it again in full yesterday for the first time in ages. It's like most seminal albums you really had to be there. I have read millions of lists of the albums you have to hear but when I do I am a bit non-plussed by them. It is brilliant and sounds as good today as it did 20 years ago.

Haha yeah big time, my first gig I went to was in '92 guns n roses with faith no more at slane castle, next one was Neil young, pearl jam, van Morrison at slane again following year, and it snowballed from there haha. Our kid listened to the album whilst doing her GCSEs in 92 and got As so I stuck it on the old tape deck for my exams in 96 and blitzed them all. I thank Nirvana. Foo Fighters are a ucking abomination on the good name.

To comemorate the 20th Anniversary Kerrang radio had an hour long special last night with Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Butch Vig who engineered the recording at Sound City. It was great to hear them all chatting and bantering about how it went. Played some outtakes too.
