My cousin brought round a copy of Pearl Jam's Ten which I really enjoyed. Although, I now see them more as a classic rock band.

Because of them I started listening to Alice in Chains, the amazing Soundgarden and the Stone Temple Pilots heavily.

Just the tip of the iceberg but there are so many other great bands like Mudhoney, Mother Love Bone, Green River, The Melvins and so on.

As you mentioned The Smashing Pumpkins, they are one of them bands I find really hard to love. I like them but there's just something missing.

Fair play, some quality bands there bud, The Smashing Pumkns probably suffered simillar to Nirvana, being in an episode of The Simpsons probably didn't help lol. Were you into the 'shoe gazing' scene over here?.... My Bloody Valentine, Ride and my personal faves Swervedriver?
Not really.

I have a lot of love for Hip Hop (old skool) and other stuff. I find I go through periods where I go off a genre but come back to it later just to keep it fresh.

At least my dream of seeing Soundgarden live is on again. Might need to travel though!

Its only money, that Black Hole Sun vid still freaks me out, them fucking mouths lol.

That vid came out and was edited a few weeks later to look even more freakier.

I went with Blue2112 to see Cornell at The Lowry. Needless to say, he was amazing.

This is one of the links on that page..

"Spencer Elden was the baby on the front of the 1991 Nirvana album Nevermind and to mark the anniversary he's made the iconic picture again.

But this time clothes were involved.
"I said to the photographer, 'Let's do it naked.' But he thought that would be weird, so I wore my swim shorts," Spencer told the New York Post."
