Can anyone show the actual footage or prove that Zab has stated that Carlos would not go on? He seems to say otherwise everywhere else so I'm wondering where it was actually stated?

"Carlos just didn't want to play," said Zabaleta, who, despite his friendship with Tevez, said players had a duty to respect Mancini's decisions as their manager, even if they did not agree with them.

Again, cheers mate but I was talking more about reputable sources. Why is there no footage, why was zabba wheeled out to notebooks?

As this all been theatre led by the Mirror?

i dont think its fair to say that people havent looked at the evidence when they condem Tevez, imho if you look at the evidence with an open mind there is only one possible conclusion. Tevez refused to play.

1. The Maneger has said that he refused to play, why would Mancini make up this lie? - he wouldnt lie but int he heat of the moment he could have made a mistake

2. Tevez never entered the field of play - no he didnt be he stood up to, had laready warmed up so obviously at one point he was preparing to so was there a sudden change of mind in that he decided not to play after warming up initially..if he changed his mind...why? did he not feel right, or did he decide to act the arse?

3. Tevez after the game said that he had refused to play because he didnt feel mentally right. - well if thats the case then surely thats his call...modric did the same vs us but wouldnt even sit on the subs bench

4. At no point after the game has Tevez contacted Mancini and made any attempt to explain his behaviour. - he is banned fromt he training facility and contact with the team...RM has made it clear he has nothing to say to tevez....so why would he???

Personally I dont really understand how any openminded person can come to any other conclusion than Tevez refused to play.

oh and what is annoying me is that the media are all demanding that w set a precedent and get ird of tevez but NONE of them have asked Moyes to do this with saha who when named on the subs bench, actually left the ground and didnt even attend the game.....only a couple of weeks ago!

Tish and pish.

Saha was left OUT OF THE SQUAD!

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Everton-striker-Louis-Saha-Tweets-I-m-absolutely-destroyed-after-being-dropped-article800491.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Ev ... 00491.html</a>

Come on Simon, try and use facts.

apologies...genuine mistake...id heard he has refused to sit ont he subs bench...clearly that wasnt correct

What a week, 30 minutes of great football away from home in the champions leagure against a 'proper team' - then getting their arses handed to them in the next 30 mins, then a 3 day pantomime covered all our the footballing world. I'm a rangers man myself, but got to say it, only city!

Players in the squad will not want to break ranks just yet, but I'm sure some of them will feel as strongly as the fans but not willing to say it publicly. But if they side with Tevez they will be out, so come the day of reckoning they will know what side their bread is butterd on - no doubt at all. A few will have divided loyalties, a few won't care, a few will despise him, and ultimately, there will be guys in the starting 11 who think Tevez should be playing and not being pitched in as the 3rd\4th striker - thats just the way footballers who want to win today will think, it's the manager who thinks long term and has rightly demoted want-away-carlos for in-form dzeko, 35 million replacement kun. and favored son Balotelli of course - you can't build your season around a guy who probably leaves in the next (or next but one) window even before all this kicked off.

Mancini strikes me as a smart guy - he made the logical choice at the start of the season, and it was probably a hard one, given that a fit hussling busssling tevez is somebody you could always make room for. But in the summer, rather than Tevez making his transfer overtures privately, he did so through the media (again), moaned about the country (again, but not the wages funnily enough), spent 3 weeks appearing to eat pies (like he was from wigan), and then rocked up a few days before the season kicked off thinking oh well, another years then he will see, after all I'm the man ain't I. No wonder Mancini thought fuck that, your down the order pal. Alternate scenario, tell the club privately he wants to solicit a move but is commited if nothing happens, have his "advisor" speak to the 4 or 5 clubs who can afford a player of his stature. get back to the club straight after the south american comedy tourney, knuckle down and show that what a lot of fans thought was true (he might want away but he knows only one way to play, full on). THEN mancini has a choice to make about including somebody who might not have a long term future.

Instead the wee fat prick sulks about, barely warms up, looks disinterested when subbed on. That thing with the kids coming out, and the missus at the game - fucks sake fatty, do you think city fans are fucking stupid - ok carlos sure, your still the man....eh noooooo? I bet Mancini saw that and thought what a two faced wee fucker you are. For me Mancini not only did the right thing in demoting him, but he broke him mentally in doing so - all be it I don;t think that was the aim - he cracked after half a dozen games.

To all first teamers, don't cross the man with the scarf - ask the others who tried. To carlos tevez, you are the worst advised footballer in the history of football - give your head a fucking wobble fatman. When the club comes a calling and aks what happens, hang the wee fucker out to dry the way he did the team on Tuesday past. He is everything that is wrong with football.

hi ppl ,1st post here on blue moon,im bosnian and live in the states..just wanted to say for the money tevez gets payed he damn well better play even if its in the 90th min...thats the life u chosen and thats how it is,u need to be very delicate in the transfer window,no mercy sometimes...i mean in this fifa 12 that just came out i sold him and bought a kid named sigurdason from iceland ok...hes 19 yrs old and what a fine player he will be if he is guided right ,maybe better then any other icelandic players that played in the premier league :)

Why don't they just tell the truth, nothing else but the truth. Without fearing the pressure from Tevez, Mancini, the Sheik or the fans.
