No european football next season

Might be wrong but last time this happened between Everton and Liverpool they (Uefa) allowed Liverpool in via a qualifying round and if memory serve me right they said that would be the last time they would do that. So if Spuds won CL for argument and they finished fifth IMO it is for the Prem League/FA to decide whether City or Spuds go in CL next season.

Everton got fourth place and thus european football. Liverpool came 5th but won UCL. They allowed Liverpool to enter and thus defend their title. 5 English teams were entered that year. They have now changed the rules so only 4 teams from one nation can enter. so if that situation arises again the winners would get the place at the expense of fourth place. I'm pretty sure that they made it a rule that the defending team always got entry. Therefore the F.A wouldn't decide. If spuds win they will be in the UCL next year at the expense of City (presuming City finished 4th and spuds 5th).

Well Milevskiy broke his arm apparently in todays game..your chances have been boosted slightly..

Yes, he did. Undergoing surgery at the moment - that's what Shovkovsky just said on TV.

Yarmolenko and Kravets scored, though.;) I bet Kravets will play and score a crucial goal as he did with Valencia 2 years ago.

Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure Man City will play in CL next year. 4th position will be secured and that's a question of qualification legs to get into group stage.
We can't rush him for Thursday surely?! Yarmola impressed me on Thursday and today he looked a handful. I would not play Kravets personally, maybe bring him on in Second half if the game is in our favour

Trying to get my head round it so could be wrong.

top 4 get automatic qualification to UCL. 5th-7th Qualify for EL. Birminigham have won Carling cup so now only 5th and 6th qualify for EL. If United get to the final of the F.A cup then Stoke or Bolton will qualify for EL meaning only 5th place will get european football. If Liverpool then win the EL this season my understanding is that the lowest finishing club in the domestic league that loses their european place. If we did happen to come 5th in the league then liverpool would take that final spot and City wouldn't have any european football next year.

Another if to throw into the equation. City could even finish 4th and if the team below them (either Chelsea or spurs) win the champions league then not only would we not get champions league, we wouldn't even get europa league. The worrying things about these 'ifs' is that none of them are that unlikely. I think I've got all that right anyway.

For these reason it is important to not get knocked out of the EL against Kyiv. Not get knocked out of the F.A cup by United and clinch 3rd position in the league.

Edit: on the positive side, it looking increasing likely that the red dippers, unless they win the EL will not have european football next season. Which when I realised that it gave me a chuckle.

If my Auntie had a cock she wud be my Uncle ;-)

4th position doesn't secure champions league though. Even then 4th isn't a certainty yet.

as long as Barcelona remain in the competition it is safe to say 4th will guarantee CL football.

any confirmation on this mate? I've tried google news search and twitter but Russian football coverage seems to be in a black hold somewhere.
Yuriy Semin (DK manager) confirmed it is indeed a broken arm.

Guilherme? His game, I was dissatisfied. Because Brazilian and was replaced.

Does their coach have down syndrome or something?

It doesn't. To be precise, 4th team in PL will go into Play-off round of Non-champions, like Spurs did this season (check rules).
