No Manchester C o A on the FA Cup final shirt

Having read the piece I would say that they have picked a few old bits of poo and mixed them together to come up with, poo!

Yes, we would rather take a swipe at the rags than continue with tradition. Bravo to the none NOTW!

MANCHESTER CITY are planning another swipe at rivals United by wearing the city's shield on their shirts for the FA Cup Final.
City unveiled a giant "Welcome to Manchester" billboard when Carlos Tevez joined from United in 2009. Now they want to gloat over the fact that United cannot wear the city arms because Old Trafford is in the neighbouring borough of Salford.

City wore the coat of arms in finals against Everton and Portsmouth in the 1930s and have expressed a wish to do so again against Stoke on May 14.

City council chiefs have already given the green light for a civic reception and parade should Roberto Mancini's side lift the trophy at Wembley next month.
Would this be the same Coat of Arms that the club has used for every Cup Final since 1926? Since the journos DO read this forum, take note of this, it's got nothing to do with the Rags, and everything to do with Manchester Club tradition.

It's been on Uniteds matchday suits for years.

Swipe at United hahahaha, how exactly ? There's nothing to stop united doing it (well apart from they're no longer in it obviously - they'll be blaming us for that next - ohhhh).
Think they can wear it on the blazers but NOT on the shirt

City have always had the Manchester Coat of Arms on Cup Final shirts to show pride in representing the City

I am very disappointed by this decision by the club

Me too!

"Upholding the traditions of this club is paramount to us" or words to that effect were said a lot around the first six months of the new regime. However they are not delivering that promise! Another thing I'm not happy about with City!

Why do they have to be like this?! Things are finally turning around on the pitch for us but many other things are just pissing people off!

Old Trafford in Salford? Since when? Haha!

-- Sun Apr 24, 2011 4:14 pm --

Erm what's going on? I've read about thirty posts from this thread and it's not clear whatsoever whether we're wearing the CoA or not!

As of today they will apparently NOT be running out at Wembley with the C of A on the shirts.

By this do you mean that they haven't come out and said anything? evidence would suggest its in the pipeline but nothing has been sorted yet.

They have released the City cup final shirt though which suggests we have seen what the have planned for.

That may change but as of today its not the C of A.
