I'll go when it gets to the knockout, like I did with Barca last year, but I've seen us play Bayern, Real and Barca now so it just doesn't float my boat like the Prem does.

Seeing as I pay so much for Sky then I figure that watching the Chumps on it helps justify the exorbitant cost.

It's never been that I can't afford it, I just abhor being ripped off unnecessarily - you're talking circa £250 for the 3 games for me and lad, plus drinks and snacks etc - whereas I can just chill at home and drink a nice bottle of wine whilst watching the game in comfort of front room.

You are very wrong. Not missed a home cl game for the past 2 seasons. This being our 3rd year I have decided to give it a miss.
Nowt to do with cost,nowt to do with work,nowt to do with her indoors. She wants me to go...
It is simply the shite atmospheres,fucking half and half scarf wearing idiots who just fuck around all game taking photographs and moan if you swear once,and fucking wank corrupt referees who will make sure city wont get anything. Be tv for me this year the CL.
I can't wait for thread to start about the cost..Be interesting to see how many fuck it off when that happens.

think you have until end of nov or dec for fa cup.

I understand what you are saying but do you really find it comfortable watching City on TV. I always find it more stressful than being at the game.

I understand what you are saying but do you really find it comfortable watching City on TV. I always find it more stressful than being at the game.

I can't drink when I go to the game as drive with my son.

Thats the thing with me aswell pal..The money is luckily not the issue but seen bayern seen cska last season etc...I may may go to the roma game at.home but I cant see it to be honest.
My mrs is shocked that I wont be going..She has asked if i am feeling unwell. Just laughed mate and said dont be moaning when I do a few more aways...

Give over you bunch of wet pants. Bring them on. None of those teams will fancy us one little bit. You'll be singing from a different hymn sheet come the time this team get to the final.

No team will fancy playing us but that draw does us no favours but UEFA do us no favours. What fucks me off is that we cannot stop them behaving in stupid ways.

It is a complete joke that we are in pot 2 when Arsenal and Chelsea, who finsihed below us in the domestic title race, are in pot 1: that is an absolute nonsense.

I understand we have to be in the champions league for the worldwide coverage and building up the club's profile and fan base,plus the money of course,but like a lot of other posters it all leaves me cold.Indeed i am suprised how much i dislike it after years of hankering and dreaming to be in it,it has come as a bit of a shock.Maybe some people are right and when we make a better fist of being in it the interest and excitement will grow but i am not sure.

To me it just doesn't feel right and i remember us winning the cup winners cup.As i said i can't really put a finger on why it is a bit of a mystery.
