I understand we have to be in the champions league for the worldwide coverage and building up the club's profile and fan base, plus the money of course, but like a lot of other posters it all leaves me cold.Indeed i am suprised how much i dislike it after years of hankering and dreaming to be in it,it has come as a bit of a shock.Maybe some people are right and when we make a better fist of being in it the interest and excitement will grow but i am not sure.

To me it just doesn't feel right and i remember us winning the cup winners cup.As i said i can't really put a finger on why it is a bit of a mystery.

It was designed by, & for, rags & their ilk around europe.

It feels wrong because it is wrong. It's a phoney arsed money making competition which exists primarily to keep rags, Bayern, & Arsene fucking Wenger types in a position of power.

If they all started failling to qualify, they would get together & invent something else. That's why we have FFPR.

We don't feel at home because it isn't our home, we had nothing to do with it. It was created in our absence, by the kind of people we despise, but we have no choice but to go along with it. Liverpool fans are right at home already & giddy about it. That says it all.
I cant disagree with any of that, all the more reason ,to give the club, all the support it can get,at least let the twats know we aint gonna go without a fight

Agree.

I have contemplated giving it a miss but I can't. I love this club and if I can afford it I will be there.

i like the cut of your jib

although i know it won't happen perhaps we should back the team like we did when we dropped to the third division and rock the Etihad with the 'real' fans
fuck Uefa and all their cronies, this is our City

I honestly can't imagine that Munich are any more thrilled than we are. That's the best that can be said for it. The Roma thing pisses me right off as well. WTF were they doing in Pot 4?! And we are the fucking champions of England two out of the last three seasons and none of the other English teams have come even close to the title in seasons. But we yet again get the most difficult group. Someone tell me why this is sensible and legitimate.

Never happen. We've witnessed first hand how officials are "instructed" to achieve the correct outcome so many times over the years in this corrupt tournament.

I'd love us to win it and give them the fuck you twattini, ruminegger et al deserve but we won't be allowed. By hook or by crook we won't be allowed.

The greatest and most prestigious competition in the world.

A chance for City to show the world how good we are and finally this season I believe we have the players with the necessary experience to achieve victory and make it our finest hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I hear all these Liverpool fans bursting with pride who cannot wait for their team to step out at Anfield and dominate the football world again?????ha ha!!!.

And then you enter bluemoon and think the same type of excitement that will be generated by City fans on Bluemoon........and what do you get.

A load of people moaning, negativity, conspiracies, saying they are not going, they're gonna skip it, problems with the format........bloody hell.

How totally and utterly pathetic. Thank God we have plenty of proper fans who will give great support to their team when they really need it against the best club sides in the world.

doubt i will bother going, doesnt feel the same. not sure why, feels like a tourist night out. Tickets at 20 quid and maybe would go. dont like how euefa twats take over your stadium.

There is nothing mysterious about it. Its an unattractive competition for us because its unashamedly bent, and the bending is not in our favour. Seriously as well, I wonder what BM have made of this draw, given it was so tight between us and them last season and beating us is not exactly a "gimmie".

I honestly can't believe what I am reading. No matter what reasons/excuses you tell yourselves and others the reality is that City are playing and they need your support.

I completely understand how some here feel about the competition and it's become a running joke that no matter which pot we are in, we are always in the group of death; just one of the many ways Uefa are trying to screw us and keep us in our place.

But don't you see, your lack of interest/apathy is exactly what 'they' want. Every empty seat at a CL game is another example of how City is not a big club and you are falling into their trap and justifying their argument. We need to show the world that we are a real club with passion, history and soul and not the bunch of cash injected small time nobodies that they want us to be seen as.

I understand some people would like to be there but circumstances dictate that they can't afford it. Completely understand that, but for those who can afford to go but would rather watch it on TV with a nice bottle of red then please have a rethink. I've been a season ticket holder 30+ years and remember enough of that time to appreciate how privileged we are now.

Let's support the team, let's show our appreciation to Sheik Mansour for everything he has given us and let's wake the world up by showing that our fans are as world class as the team. Go to as many games as you can afford and let's make as much noise as we can.

Dortmund think they've got great fans, they ain't seen nothing. Let's show them blues!!
