Same applies with Carling Cup really as well,I mean how many that rocked up at Wembley for final went to the knockout games, not fecking many I would guess, the system for tickets at City is and always will be shite imo anyway
On this issue don't think its the system .if you say this comp is bent and boycott the group games then suddenly change your opinion as we progress imo in my option you are a hypocritical glory hunter .regardless of how many games you have been to in the past

It was a good ending!

Atmosphere was still flat even when 1-0 up. I'm not sure why.
Difficult to tell off the TV but did the Bayern fans give up or were they good ?
What I do hope is if city progress. the fans with high points dont suddenly show an interest and start going and get tickets over the guys that stuck with it on low points .this would be very unfair you have watched the shite .you should get priority even for the final imo

Fans with high points have watched plenty of shite, and fully deserve a ticket to the final.
But what about those who were religiously watching the shite in the 80s and 90s before points came in and then maybe started families in the 2000s and didn't amass a great deal of points?

There's no difference between them and those with 13000 points, for me.

My Dad stopped going in 2007, after going straight through almost non-stop since the 1960s. I've got loads more points than him though as I've been going right through out loyalty points era. Loyalty Points don't really represent a great deal for me. He had forty+ years of watching City to my twenty five. I'm not more deserving of tickets than him just because I have more points.

Loyalty Points don't mean a great deal to me. They don't particularly represent loyalty, they just represent a certain group of people who just by chance were of the right age and had the spare cash to go to football matches when earning points to do so were a thing.

EDIT... I've just got what you're on about!... Yes, people with loyalty points deserve to go to finals over people who've only just started going to City because we're good.

I don't go to many games, as I live in London now ( for my sins) so it's when I visit family, or get a ticket off a mate, or a mate of a mate to a final or semi at Wembley.
I f I had the money, time etc I'd love nothing more than going every home game, and the odd away trip, but I don't, and my spare cash is invested in other, more artistic pursuits, plus the weekend is taken up with kids activities, fixing broken things round the house and trying to plough through hundreds, of photo's to edit.

If you took all of the hypocrites away from football there wouldn't be too many left in the crowd.

As far as I'm concerned someone that has been there through thick and thin for decades deserves a spot over someone who has been their for thick and thin for three matches. Club doesn't agree and gives cup scheme members priority.

Take the points out of the equation if you like if YOU have taken the view to boycott this copetition this season for YOUR own reasons like myself ,l don't think you can change your view for the knockout stages and take preference over someone who has said I think this is a great competition and has been to the group games .imho

Unfortunate and I don't know that there is a solution to recognise loyalty given pre-points. I wish there was a way beause you are right, my points earned since loyalty points came into being are no more worthy than someone who went pre-points.

I will say though that I think that if I stopped going for a decade or so I would expect my points to have be overtaken by plenty to the extent that I probably wouldn't be in the higher bracket anyway.
