i remember when PG Tips brought out powdered tea, it was shit!
On a side note, does anyone remember when they used to sell cans of hot tea in shops? They had them in a special heater in newsagents. Tasted like piss

Saw a programme on TV which featured tea tasting some years ago. They asked about powdered tea and why - unlike powdered coffee - it never took off. The guy said that tea comes in leaves and is an infusion that needs to brew - you then remove the leaves from the finished product. Powdered tea just dissolved into the water and stayed there and was wrong. Amusingly - this was the 80's I think - he went on to say we accepted powdered coffee because we didn't know what decent coffee should taste like ha ha ha. Thinking back to some of those supermarket own brand instant coffee concoctions he was spot on !
