No Rangers/Celtic in EPL

Delighted.*Breathes a sigh of relief*
Why don’t they dig this old idea up for them lot.
An Atlantic league. Proposed 2001.Still resonates. 4 Nations .Portugal. Belgium. Holland. Scotland. Top 4 teams, withdraw from their national leagues. They play in 16 team Atlantic league. Maybe Better for Celtic and Rangers, they would still be able to compete In all Scottish cups. A promotion and relegation issue still available linked back to the national leagues. More sensible to create a new league rather than to shoehorn the likes of rangers and Celtic into the Premier League.IMO.

Thank fuck for that.

Why don't they do what the rugby union does and have a league from Scotland, Wales and Ireland?

Rangers
Celtic
Aberdeen
Hibs
Hearts
Swansea
Cardiff
Shamrock Rovers
Someone else?
Irish League and League of Ireland (and the welsh league) clubs wouldnt be able to afford to keep that up. Only team that could would be Linfield.

You're wrong, Shamrock Rovers could play in a British Isles/Atlantic league.

Now hope fat Phil (fuck the rest) Gartside's club slide down the divisions!
Better still, why doesn't he practice what he preaches and take them, Wigan, Blackburn and others into the SPL. More their level.

And their crowds wouldn't look out of place in the SPL!

would have been a disgrace to allow them in,what gives them the right to go above rochdale, oldham, etc in the league without earning the right to do so

Celtic are apparently the third biggest club in the world and have 100 million fans worldwide, but had a smaller attendance than us at their last home game than when we played Burnley.

Hmm.
