think you've missed the point mate....don't think he's on about not being able to go, he's on about paying £20/£30 quid for a ticket to the game and then the club a few days later lowering the price of a ticket to a fiver. gotta say i agree with him, the fans that were prepared to fork out 20/30 quid fer a ticket are getting fucked over and people who thought "fuck it, it's on telly i'm not paying 20/30 quid fer a ticket" are now the ones gaining the benefit from a £5 ticket.....fuckin disgraceful, the kind of shit you expect the red twats to come up with that shitting on fans.
Yeah Utd are always reducing their prices!

Joke supporters we have at times.

Never heard of a last minute deal?

I think they should.

We bought our tickets a day before the reduction, and we weren't even allowed in our own seats.

I'm obviously still going to go but I'm really pissed off at this.

My mum was happy with the price she'd paid, but she'd rather have paid £10 for us both instead of £40.

Not happy.

Tough.

I am in full agreement with the club.
So because you think it's right that ultimately makes it correct? K.

why dont you get in touch with danny wilson, explain whats happened and whilst he may not be able to help for tonights game i m sure he will help you for a future game

when i buy a flight for £50

but within two weeks the flight goes to £5

i think i could have saved £45 and get on with it

why oh why are so many fans believing that it's ok to do this with football tickets? It's NEVER been the case that a club sells a ticket for one price and then weeks later drops it so that the bloke sitting next to you is the same age but has paid £20 less - just because he waited.

City have become like an ebay concert tout! Sell them high, then when it gets close to gig time and you haven't sold many you panic and reduce them. Yes in those cases as a buyer you feel ripped off but you just accept it, but with a football club, who for donkeys years have sold at set prices, it just gets to you.

Those fans who compare it to a supermarket (or flights) are the kind of gullible happy clappers that the club will lap up!!!! If you can't see it from the other side, then you're very selfish and an i'm alright jack.

(And as i said in the other thread, i'm on the cup scheme and got the 3 for 2, so the match is free for me, so it's not like i'm complaining cos of myself. I'm complaining because i believe it to be wrong - some of us have principles!!!)

(yes, you're all about to slag me off. You know what, i don't care!)

You know you do care, which is why your sat there hitting f5 waiting avidly for replies.
I paid 30 for mine, and if other fans get cheaper tickets I don't give 2 hoots as long as I wasn't paying over the odds for mine in the first place whch I don't believe I was.

It happened last season with the Everton game.

It is fine. I buy a ticket straight away so I always lose out however I would rather sit in a stadium with more fans in it and unlike the OP and you, I am not some precious little twat that cares more about me getting the best deal and ensuring that no one gets anything cheaper than me, than I am about the stadium having a better atmosphere.

It has now happened twice, if you got stung both times, tough shit, you now know it may happen again.

YOU CALL ME SELFISH!??? You don't know the meaning of the word sunshine. How is it selfish to not care if someone pays less than you? You are the selfish bastard and you know it or are not wise enough to understand.

As for being labelled a tout, it is simply the economic model of supply and demand.
Why not start the prices off at £5 then?

The club obviously thought they would have sold better than they did (what with it being an important game and all that) and had to have a re-think.

how is it unfair? its just good business practise.

You sell something, and then suddenly the demand is lower so to sell what you have left best way is to lower tickets...
demand is higher then tickets get bought and sold on at a higher price.

It's life.

i'm with you mate fuckin disgraceful way to treat fans....i was a bit miffed because when the 3 fer 2 deal came out they stated that this game would be £20....false fuckin advertising if you ask me. some people aren't getting it on here are they....it's the principle of what they've done more than anything and in future when 3 fer 2 deals and £20 ticket prices are announced for such games then people affected will think twice before parting with their money upfront and hang back for reductions. i was miffed because i couldn't make the poznan game because of work commitments and therefore could have paid £35 for the juve and salzburg games rather than the £50 i did pay thinking i was getting a better deal....i'm pretty sure they are legally in the wrong what they've done to be honest.

a little rag prick that lives on our road is going. yesterday he was taking the piss he was only going on the off chance we got spanked and that nobody would pay more than a fiver to watch us anyway. wanted to slap the little bastard. i pay £25 and some rag ***** chavs can sit in our ground for £5 and £1

Still £5 (plus food and drink money) the club wouldn't have got and proves them correct in their decision.

You're right, it's never been the case that kidders, OAPs, students et al. get different prices. I've half a mind to take a megaphone and tell all the people sitting anywhere near me with value seasontickets to do one because I've paid twice as much.
