I buy a ticket straight away so I always lose out however I would rather sit in a stadium with more fans in it and unlike the OP and you, I am not some precious little twat that cares more about me getting the best deal and ensuring that no one gets anything cheaper than me, than I am about the stadium having a better atmosphere.

3) It has now happened twice, if you got stung both times, tough shit, you now know it may happen again.

As for being labelled a tout, it is simply the economic model of supply and demand.

point 2 - did you fucking read my post where i said i'm on the cup scheme, i got to every home match and have done for 18 fucking years, so where did i say i care about getting the "best deal"? my points were that is is unfair of the club not to refund the difference to others, or they should advertise when they first go on sale that a percentage will be sold at a fiver when only a week to go.

point 3 - again, did you read? i haven't got stung, i'm a season ticket holder so the everton game was part of my season ticket and this one was free in the 3 for 2.

And th other bloke who mentioned sarcasticly about how pensioners and kids sit around him at different prices, well fuck me how thick of me to not realise that! (cue sarcasm). My post mentioned about people "the same age" paying different amounts. Get it? I bet you don't get it often..

Yep i've had the same thing as the OP, 2 tickets for £50 bought on Thursday morning when if id waited until 4pm i'd have got them for £10! Really pissed me off but there is nothing I can do about it.

All it has done is put me off buying tickets for cup fixtures in future, especially if its on TV, fuck em i'll watch it for free!

FFS.. City offer 3 europa tickets for £30.... BARGAIN

then they offered a 2-4-1 deal for the Juventus & Saltzberg - ticket price £20.. BARGAIN.

People who didn't take up the original offers are moaning because they had to pay £30 for tonights game ...... I'm sorry but the offers were there and its not City's fault you didn't take them up..... so you cannot go bleating because they offer a last minute bargain.

I work on a thursday night ok so I couldn't get to the other games which is why I am going to this ONE! I can go bleating as much as I fuckin want! I bet half the people on here complaining about us complaining aren't even going to the game!

We bought our tickets a day before the reduction, and we weren't even allowed in our own seats.

I'm obviously still going to go but I'm really pissed off at this.

My mum was happy with the price she'd paid, but she'd rather have paid £10 for us both instead of £40.

"Allowed" in your own seats - come on pal relax. As with all cup games there is a window to select your own seat and that was publicised when the 3 for 2 scheme was advertised. I had to wait until 2 days after the window to get my ticket sorted and by then my season ticket seat was no longer available for any of the games, these things happen.

Think yourself lucky you are still going tonight - some people are not able to due to circumstances beyond their control.

but within two weeks the flight goes to £5

i think i could have saved £45 and get on with it

why oh why are so many fans believing that it's ok to do this with football tickets? It's NEVER been the case that a club sells a ticket for one price and then weeks later drops it so that the bloke sitting next to you is the same age but has paid £20 less - just because he waited.

City have become like an ebay concert tout! Sell them high, then when it gets close to gig time and you haven't sold many you panic and reduce them. Yes in those cases as a buyer you feel ripped off but you just accept it, but with a football club, who for donkeys years have sold at set prices, it just gets to you.

Those fans who compare it to a supermarket (or flights) are the kind of gullible happy clappers that the club will lap up!!!! If you can't see it from the other side, then you're very selfish and an i'm alright jack.

(And as i said in the other thread, i'm on the cup scheme and got the 3 for 2, so the match is free for me, so it's not like i'm complaining cos of myself. I'm complaining because i believe it to be wrong - some of us have principles!!!)

Manchester City is a business. They make decisions based on what they believe is best in their commercial interest (Just as the airline, grocery store, etc. do). If as part of this some 'customers' decide to shop elsewhere then that is always your prerogative. But it really is a case of if you bought a ticket at a price you were happy to pay, then find out that someone else paid less, TOUGH. And for clarification, YES, this has always been the case at any football game, that the guy sat next to you may have paid less, but it may not have been due to an advertised special.

It's just simple economics.

my dad paid 30 for my juventus seat and my son as a payback for a game i bought for him previously, i paid 30 for poznan and my son and i paid 30 for tonights game and my son. i didn't do the cup scheme because i couldnt commit that far in advance.

i wish the club would charge me the same as everyone else because i get the same item at the same time as the people paying £5. but if they wont then nothing i can do except wait like everyone else next time
