Police have congratulated fans for their good behaviour after the FA Cup semi-final.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police in London arrested just 34 people after City’s win over United at Wembley. They say most of the arrests were for public order offences and ticket-touting. A spokesperson for the Met said: “Given the capacity of 80,000 at Wembley, just 34 people were arrested. “Despite the build-up, the event was remarkably low-key.”

Greater Manchester Police also said there were no major incidents connected to the Manchester derby. Officers from British Transport Police were stationed at the main transport hubs across the country, but claimed the day went off ‘without a hitch’.

Get on there and tell them how it really was.

Got a couple of texts saying it had kicked off big time at Warwick and Oxford Service stations
Also coming home we stopped at Newport Pagnell and it was crawling with police, people were getting arrested outside

fucking bollocks. i was down wembley way and got cracked by 4 of them.

they attacked us like animals. someone needs to tell the papers the truth.

There wasn't any significant trouble - largely because City fans chose to ignore the Cockney reds.

Bullshit!!! My Cousin got started on by some meathead rag steroid junkie prick! My Cuz was with his seven year old Son. This bloke was with his Missus. Fucking losers!! I met a Woman (City of course) with her daughter & her Dad I think. She couldn't get to her car due to all the cockney reds hanging about. Told me she'd already been attacked today by them fucking scum bags! Its getting to the point where some of them need teaching a fucking lesson. Poor excuse for Men & fans.

One of the service stations we were at, un*ted fans piled in and cracked anyone in blue. An O.A.P was knocked over a fence and there was little kids on the coach crying their hearts out.

If there were people who wanted to fight them, then it wouldn't bother me, but they start on people who don't want to defend themselves. If a bunch of lads started on them, they'd clear off faster than they left the ground yesterday. Bunch of tw*ts.

Easiest way to tell all the trouble was started by United fans? MEN reporting there was no trouble. If it had been City fans causing it we'd have a dedicated issue to the 'Wembley Disaster' :p

all the rags we saw after the game were getting serious stick from Blues and were meek as lambs, spoke with a few decent ones too tbf

saw a group of MIB rag types kick off near the Ibis but were soon put in their place by some hardcore City and disappeared

All in all there was nowhere near as much aggro as I expected and we never felt threatened
