Nobby Stiles has had a stroke

same sort of player as de jong;but with better eyesight.-his lad john played for sale boys;with my younger brother;before he signed for leeds. get well soon nobby.
 
Growing up as a kid, Nobby Stiles was just about the most hated United player at the time... aggressive, narky, whinging... everything that Keane was and more!

Then a few years ago I went to see him at a football forum and he was an absolutely brilliant bloke. So proud of his Manchester roots, so unassuming and self-effacing. I was totally changed after seeing him that night... to such an extent I wish he had been a Blue!

I genuinely wish you good health and a return to better health. Best wishes and a long life.
 
I hope Nobby gets better soon. I never saw him play but the many times I have heard him interviewed he always sounded like a nice guy. He also always seemed to have respect for city.

Sorry to here that Blue - RIP

Met Nobby a few years ago at a after dinner show and as many have already said he is a top bloke and was enjoyable to listen to his stories. He took the time to sign so some WC items for my youngest lad and also wished him a speedy recovery as he was poorly at the time.

Really hope he's back to his best ASAP
