Saw nobby when came to watch a young john play schoolboy football.I was in primary school with one of Nobby's lads when he was manager at PNE. Whenever we saw Nobby we were in awe of him knowing what he had achieved as a player even though half of us were Blue and the other half were rags. He was a real gent and highly regarded. He'd been suffering for many years and his family had had little / none support from those outside where it might have been expected ... The FA? The PFA?
