Why is no one actually puttig our loss possibly down to the fact Sunderland actually provided a hard test and actually plaed very well. From the back of their line to to the front they closed us odwn pretty quickly and didn't really give is time on the ball, that was shown by the fact that Adam Johnson and Milner had pretty poor games, due to the fact keiran Richardson and malbranque were hanging around like a bad smell. We didn't play awful but our limited chances and lack of fluency was down to the organization and spirit of Sunderland. I take my hat off to them, they played a good game, and the crowd were right behind them. Sunderland are a stern test and I doubt we will have many more hard games like that throughout the season. Brucey must have really revved ten up for the game today

I would give them some credit but it is down to our lack of a ruthless streak in the first half that did us. Bruce must of tore into them at half time because second half they were fired up. It has really done us a favour this result as I don't think we may make the same mistakes twice.

Yeah ok some credit where it's due, they battled hard but come on, not one of their players would even make our bench. It was clear who was the better side at the beginning but we allowed them into the game and so their confidence grew. We broke rule #1 - don't give a sucker a break. They are ordinary and will be thrashed by many sides this season.

We had no chances as we have no creativity or pace through the middle

Tevez's miss, Mingolet's save from Adebayor enough chances to prehaps kill the game as an away side. We coped quite well considering the second half onslaught.

I also think people underestimate Sunderland.

They only lost at home last year to the Rags, Chelsea and Villa. These were the 3 teams with the best away records for the season.

Today sounds like one of those days when we didn't have the bit of good fortune we needed.

Because they were there for the taking and we missed a host of chances. They only attacked us in the last ten minutes.

Pearce, Keegan and Hughes all had 100% records there, BM has 1 point from 6, so I make that around a 16.67% record so far.

Sorry Sven too 100%.

Yes Sunderland fought back strongly in the 2nd half, but honestly we threw the game away with that Tevez chance.

Get that goal and I feel without being arrogant we are comfortable considering when City score first they tend to win.
