You would think that if he had that much respect for Khaldoon then he wouldnt call Cookie the Chairman at least three times in the interview.

You're right, he is obviously a wum, who's never even met Cook.

Or perhaps, he doesn't understand the inner workings of a large corporation and struggles to tell the difference between a chairman and chief exec, particularly after a couple of lagers.

We've been pretty much linked with everyone now though haven't we. Any signing will not be mindblowing because it'll be a case of 'yeh saw it on bluemoon months ago'

Re the chairman issue - I still hear highly paid members of the press refer to Al Fahim as our Chairman. Khaldoon doesn't get much love

Just listened to it, very exciting! My claim to fame is I have a programme from the last world cup final signed by Noel. My mate works for the BBC and did a lot of the filming and Noel would go out on the lash with the crew quite a bit.

The converstion went something like this:

I've just spent 3 hours having lunch with Gary Cook [pre world cup] and the revelations that will come out in the next month of players coming in and going out will blow the world of football.........

Apparently there was a list of names on a napkin,,,,but as much as the presenters [kundy / goldstein] tried to get names Noel didn't reveal BUT did deny Messi and Ronaldo YET slipped up a bit when Torres' name was mentioned......
