Noel Gallagher and City.

Looks like he is was the only Manc that was in on it..

Mate when I first saw that image I burst out laughing. You obviously see more in that then I do.
Having met Noel for a very short time a Brighton game a few seasons back. He was sound, he could of said " fuck off" or had a body guard stopping fans get near him, he didnt.
It cant be easy to be amongst us fans. Most leave him alone to enjoy the match. I bothered him once for a selfie but wouldn't do it again.

Noels kids have only really known London, Dorset and Hampshire, their lives have been spent living in, and visiting areas in the south of England, so I can understand it if they take (or took) an interest in supporting a London club, as most of their schoolmates probably did .... Noel himself, still lives In West London, as far as I can make out.

But both Noel and Liam have never forgotten their Mancunian roots, or their days living in Burnage.
It doesn’t matter where in the world you are,
If you’re a Blue so are your kids.

Noel Gallagher is a sound guy where City is concerned and regularly defends our corner on radio, tv and social media. I have sat near him at European aways when we first got into European competition years ago. I have talked to him in hospitality at City and I can tell you he was shxxting himself, his words, at the QPR game. Last week at the Arsenal game he was ecstatic afer winning, my lad was in the room with him. I for one am glad he is a blue.
Liam on the other hand is an obnoxious bully and a dickhead. ;-)

Great interview that though I felt Noel talked about pep in the past tense on a couple of occasions, almost as if he knew this was pep's last season.
Nonetheless it was great, Noel is a big blue like the rest of us, he's been there at the shit times too and he gave a shout out to all the fans in their 50s so I feel privileged to have been mentioned :)

Regarding Noel sayin that about his kids supporting arsenel, was tongue in cheek no doubt.

Imagine in the 1990's Noel and Liam being rags,it would have been fkin awful, the grief we would have got from them, luckily it wasn't that way and they're Blues thank fk.

Tis true for some,we hate it when our friends become successful,Up the fkin Blues.

Think he's a loutish prick personally and I can't stand the fact that we seem incapable of going a full City season without him being involved in some PR campaign or other. You'll always see him at Wembley, in the away ends for some London games on free tickets, or in his box on the final day of the season, but never anywhere else.

I'll never forget in 2016 when they were going to unveil the new City badge on the big screens and after a 10-second countdown the screen transitioned to him talking about the badge before they showed it. That summed it all up for me. City's media team seemingly can't do anything without his involvement or say-so, it's very sad.

Their peak was 30 years ago now. The fact that it's still only Noel Gallagher who's considered as shorthand for a "propoh Manc, propoh Citeh" fan is a condemnation of the retrograde cultural ideology Oasis ushered in during their heyday. Manchester must never look forward, it must only pay homage to the past, over and over again.

Tongue in cheek, bang on.

The southern base press/media have never understood our dry, self mocking, take the piss out of anyone and everyone.

I would listen to interviews back in the day of Noel and Liam and I would creased up with laughter. Then I would read the press/media calling them arrogant, big head, etc etc. I would be thinking, did they hear the same interviews as me lol.

Simple thing is southerners dont get manc or Northern humour. Southern are way to serious for laughter.

Obviously not all southerners ;)

Has much I admire Noel as city fan he like many other blues seemed to write city of winning the premiership this season:
Especially in December going on if we had won games we might stand a chance.
Even thou there a long way to go .
I’m sure he’s eating them words .

And why oh why do city fans ark on about are last victorous team .has good as they was were at the moment building a squad who could possibly win a treble,

We’re on a new wave forget the former things and look forward to a bright future

The minute I show the slightest bit of faith and confidence in City they fuck it up. My constant negativity and pessimism keeps us successful.

Their peak was 30 years ago but it was so much of a peak, they sold out massive concerts globally last year. Their gigs broke records.

I went at Heaton Park and it was one of the best experiences of my life.

He’s not been a lout for 26 years and is a big blue, always bigging us up.

What a fucking dickish thing to say. I’ve been seeing him at City matches for 30 years, in all divisions.
Me too, but I’ve always felt that Liam is the more genuine fan and better person.

Also, this tweet just before the Old Trafford derby in December 2017 from one of the most respected posters on this forum calls into question Noel’s credentials. I’m not on X anymore so having to post this word for word:

So it’s March 93, got a spare for City v Spurs, FA Cup quarter final. Ask lads in the pub in Longsight if they want to buy it for face. Lad wearing a Celtic top says “Fuck off, they’re shite.”
Same **** is on Graham Norton with a City flag and a pundit for Sky on Sunday. Fraud.

Premier league surely not the premiership
