I remember keith Curle refusing us autographs after a game at Barrow back in the 90's,wouldn't have minded myself but we had kids with us.Sent a letter to the club and got a letter back with all kinds of other stuff and and an apology from Curle.

Reminds me of when I waited in a car park outside the North Pier at Blackpool aged about 10 to get an autograph from Roger Da Courcey (of Nookie bear fame) for over an hour. Finally the great man arrived, I seized my chance, asked politely, and offered my autograph book. Roger said "no, fuck off", got into his car and drove off. It scarred me for life, but his variety career plummeted from that day on, and I like to think it was karma for that moment. Noel, you could learn a thing or two from the sad tale of Roger Da Courcey.

Think you were just unlucky and caught him at a bad or busy time.
Saw him at Blackburn at start of the season and asked he I could take a photo of my son with him. He happily obliged although still seemed in a bit of a hurry. So can't fault him. If he'd said no I would have just accpeted it. IT's great if they are willing but also have to accept they have a right to say no. Pisses me off more when some players come out after a game and won't sign for the kids. To be fair most of ours at the moment are willing to put the time in with fans.

Worst one i had was '99, our coach was last to leave so we got a crate of ale and were waiting to go when we saw Nicky Weaver getting in his car, went over and tried to say 'hello' and he just f***** us off!
