With regards to the "freeloading", you can guarantee one thing: City will not be giving him free tickets. People buy executive boxes and seats, at enormous cost, for them to pass on to people of their choice. A guy like Gallagher will be able to pick up the phone to the record company and get two seats in the corporate area of any ground in the world, for any game. But someone will be paying £500 for that ticket. That's how it works.
There are people the world over want to ingratiate themselves to people like him, Alan McGee, Mike Pickering etc. Pluggers, promotors, other labels, radio stations, management companies, agents etc etc. And they can return the favour easily for gigs, clubs, events etc.
Ultimately if these companies and individuals weren't paying £500 per ticket, you'd be paying double.
