Nolito - 2016/17 performances

He gets into cracking goalscoring positions. They are times you don't even see him do it, he just appears in the box. I like him. Needs to sort his temper or though, thoroughly deserved his card yesterday the eedjit.
He's a little bastard and his temper is something more for La Liga where this behaviour is a bit of a constant and the refs seem to be more random out there with cards for dissent.

But regarding his game, he was one of our most consistent performers in both these hard away fixtures at Palace and yesterday, and his defensive work might not be that spectacular, but is actually very solid and effective. I think he is actually a very good tackler, other than being a hard worker.

re: his yellow card yesterday.
Did we get a free-kick or did the ref ignore everything and then book him after the event?
I couldn't tell from MOTD if he had given a foul against the defender for (clearly) pulling him back or whether he gave nothing and then booked him for questioning the decision (or lack of it).
If it's the former, then he's just venting his frustration at being pulled back when in a good position and therefore can't really warrant a card because he's not disagreeing with or questioning anything.
If it's the latter, then serious questions need to be asked of why it wasn't a free kick to City, at the very least, because from what I saw, he was clearly tugged from behind when in a decent position.

I know players have to keep their heads, but I'm sick of being on the end of appalling refereeing decisions, whether playing myself or watching City.
For something as blatant as that was, it would be nice if somebody were allowed to question the decision making and/or the referee justify his decision as they do in Rugby.
A simple explanation of how he saw something and the decision he gave based on what he saw would prevent players from being abusive or seeking retribution the next time they entered into a challenge.

Not in the 18 today.

Is he injured? Very surprising if not considering the lack of attacking options we were left with on the bench.

Where the fuck was he? I'm not one to start moaning about a new manager but unless Nolito was injured it was fucking stupid from Guardiola not to play him today

He seems to have gone off the radar in the last few weeks after being a regular at the start.
