The exterior of the stadium is in need of some love, both the "building" itself and the surrounding area. Where they've tried to cover the greyness of the stadium with the posters showing the timeline of club history (history? What history?) is very aged, with it peeling off in many places. Aside from that it's just......grey. Concrete grey. Give it some lighting to show off club colours, or a wrap around of some sort, perhaps like Bayern's stadium.

The surrounding pedestrian areas and footpaths are crumbling, puddles all over the place and any previous attempts at adding colour to the area are cracked/fading away. The maintenance of the Blue Moon walk where people could buy little discs has been a disgrace, but should have been a stand out feature.

There's potential for the Etihad Campus to be stunning, but once the centrepiece investment has been done it does need a lot of love overall.

And the speaker system is absolute rubbish, too loud in level3 too quiet in level 1

The intention has always been to have a screen in each corner. So, since the SE is being installed at the moment and now the SW looks like something is happening seats removed, scaffolding being stocked and area outside being condoned off very similar to the sequence of events for SE there is good chance the screen support installers will be moving there once their work is done
 
It's probably been mentioned unless I'm reading far too much into how it reads but is this what it sounds like?

The roof walk is accessed from the top of the NW core. Participants take the journey from the Rooftop Walk arrival and briefing area and ascend to the departure area and balcony though the stadium stairs/lift. An alternative ascent route climbing the west façade of the NW core will be available.

'A' is shown as a controlled descent point (abseiling back down?).

for me that is how I rank them , city stadium great but spurs no 1 as its massive and has swappable pitches and more tiers , once the east and Colin upgraded for city then we will be on top but that's not happening anytime soon.

Emirates the best by far in this country but not been to the new everton one. Spurs' new ground is an abomination with no space or facilities and hard to get in.
 
Does anyone think the pitch and fencing around the North end of the pitch will be cleared by next weekend? The weather is going to be prefect for going on the tour.1000005906.png
 
I have to agree with some of you. Spurs do have the best stadium overall.

Having been there for the CL match when Sergio missed the penalty, I was really impressed by it, especially the away concourse, which was wide, spacious, with plenty of bars, which served Beavertown, Gamma Ray, brewed inside the ground. It happens to be one of my favourite IPA's. :-)

The home end looked great, even though the Spurs fans on it didn't create that much noise on the night, and really haven't done since, bar the odd match.

I certainly hope our new home end is much louder.

I'll hold judgement on Everton's new stadium until I go this season, but it does look impressive.

Saying that, neither of those 2 stadiums have a covered 3000 capacity fan zone, and a 401 room hotel attached to their grounds.

If you add the new North stand fan zone bars, the Coop Live Arena bars, and the independent food outlets around the ground, City are hard to beat in that aspect.

PS. The away coach parking at Spurs is abysmal. It's a good 10-15 minute walk to the ground through an industrial estate, and a housing estate. Compare that to away coach parking at the Etihad.

It’s just the modus operandi that seems different . East corner the “ardwick” seats were scaffolded around rather than moved out and several rows of seats in front were removed
Which hasn’t happened in the West corner ???
 
1 tiny bar in the away concourse at spurs for PL games narrow concourse and smallest seating space in a new stadium this century I have visited in the top flight with bars on seats reducing it too.

Similar experience to SU away but they have more than one bar for 3000 people. Spurs is easier to get a beer though due to those back packers selling fosters or carling, like at the horse racing.

I wasn't narrow when I went there. Saying that, I did get in early. Later on when it was full, it still didn't feel narrow.

I will be interesting to see how the 3000 capacity fan zone operates, because there will be a lot more fans than that wanting to go into it.
