North Stand Construction Discussion

Just watching those kids lay the brickwork on SSS latest see video (1 minute in). Guy on the left is laying it to eye with no spirit level. Fellas spirit level on the right is what you get in a kids builders set.

Cheers, never knew it existed until I saw it on this season's season ticket renewal plan
My family and friends sit in block 220 (now 120), on the next to back row, whatever row that is next season, but yes, the bar has benn there 3 or 4 seasons possibly. We occasionally get the odd away fan in there, which gets some hackles up

I'm still not convinced the scaffold in the SW corner suggests there's a 4th screen going up there. Opinion on here seems divided - is there anyone actually ITK or does someone want to create a poll so that when we find out, the "I told you so" brigade can fell smug?
The evidence suggests not a fourth screen as the company involved are bar fitters see the sign on the Heras fencing around the compound

The article below suggests ‘Screens’ (plural); as does the comments from the company fitting them. Would look ridiculous without one in SW corner.

Which part of the quote from the company makes it sound like 2 screens is confirmed?

Peacock Precision Services’s managing director, Kieron Peacock, said: “We are extremely proud to be part of this exciting development at the Etihad Stadium.

“It’s a landmark project in a city where we’ve already forged strong working relationships, and to be trusted with such a prominent and technically demanding installation at one of the most iconic football stadiums in Europe is a great endorsement of the standard of work our team delivers.

“It shows how far we have come as a business over the last seven years. From surveying a single house on a one-plot development to working on a project at one of Europe’s top football stadiums.”

Please forgive me…. I misread it as a quote from the company. You’re too sharp you better be careful not to cut yourself;-)
The article does state screens as opposed to screen singularly. And I never suggested ‘confirmed’.

I still don't think they will be putting a screen up this summer. It is not one big screen they put up but multiple screens to make a screen the size you want.

This guy is competing with Mr Drone for biggest knob. He only does videos once a month so doesn't have a clue what's going on (which to his credit he admits). Classic comment: "It looks like the pitch has been covered - there must have been some sort of concert on it".

No contest he makes Mr Drone(on) sound like an expert

Salts, don't forget the salts.
Too much moisture in the bricks

The fourth screen is a bit like Harry Potter’s platform 9 3/4. Part of me would like it to stay that way, we were always a bit quirky and that would keep the reputation going. Maybe the scaffolding is about erecting an animatronic inflatable banana which inflates every VAR check. (No inside knowledge, just a hunch).

Why aren’t new stadiums’ roofs made up entirely out of solar panels? The power could generate enough for the entire stadium. We’d never run out of chips again!
