It looks promising.

We have to wait for the middle safe standing seats to go in before we know for sure if the majority of the new tier will be safe standing seats. I’m not getting my hopes up just yet.

I'll be stunned if the majority is safe standing. Seeing the outer parts of the stand safe standing (presume it will be replicated on the other side) makes me think the vast majority of the new stand will be normal seats. If there is a patch of safe standing seats in the middle and then just those outer segments, its going to make a real hotch potch of seats / safe standing.

That makes more sense and i reflects what seats are starting to go in. I was imagining it with big gaps between the sections, but at least they are joined up. As @Centurions said, the more the better.

Are you particularly short?

There will be some seats at the front and up to the ambulatory/wheelchair section as you can't have standing in front of them.

5foot 5 ;-) but my standung up at football games are long over , i much prefer a padded comfy seat :-)

I said the new seats (the expanded bit), that leaves all of the existing 2nd tier as non-standing, some at least would have to be to allow for people who can't stand. That's circa 1,700 seats.

True, but let's face it, you can basically sit where you want in the rest of the stadium, including the current north stand sections :)

The safe standing seat bars are almost to the bottom of the new tier. Unless it’s only for the sides of the new tier. And the centre of the tier stays safe standing at the back and normal seating from the upper middle downwards. Remember, we haven’t been told by the club what the safe standing and seating configuration will be for the tier.

Don’t get too excited just yet, but I wonder if the new tier will be mostly safe standing? We’ll find out when the middle safe standing seats are installed.

Hopefully most of the stand is safe standing and if not people stand up anyway

Standing sections at both sides of the ground is great either way

If I was sat behind all them flags I'd be fuckin livid, cos if you look closely at the picture it looks like someone is just about to plant a header right in the top corner, which I'd have fuckin missed.

I’m even less inclined to move now. Hopefully after people have moved to the new North Stand i’ll have the opportunity to get a few seats together with mates in 315 SSL3.

Staying in block 111 (was 211) this season but might switch to the North Stand next year if I can get a seat in the middle of the front row of the 2nd tier.

I was hoping for one large cross section of safe standing seats across the back of the tiet. As it is, City have split the safe standing seats up, and a possible new singing section up. Great!

Bloody horrible, when you watch European games lots of the fans must miss most of the action.

By the way I saw the header go in because I am at the other end.

Never watched a City home game from behind the goal in my life - that view just doesn't properly fit in my brain. Forced into it on away trips of course.

My guess is the n shape is the initial safe standing, and if the demand is there they can add more going down until it's level. That would make the most sense to me
