North Stand Construction Discussion

It hasn’t been mentioned much on here but the end sections of the expansion will come in for some criticism on here similar to the South Stand corners.

These end sections are built at a slightly different angle/rake and leave a gap at the bottom instead of connecting to the original 2nd tier. This gap will probably be used for disability spaces.

I think a (possible) reason for these end sections being like this might be due to the cable net coming in through the corners. Another could be that they are built with expansion of the sides in mind and can be pulled out easily so that they can later produce more rounded corners.

Why have they made the 2nd tier behind the net smaller?
All level 1 the same size
Level 2 the same size on 3 stands then smaller on 1?
Why? You also losing around 2,000 seats.
That’s annoyed me and i don’t know why

Is that not looking South so done to get more light in for the pitch?

If that's what floats peoples boats let them get on with it.
Similarly, let those who like to sit on their hands and murmur quietly sit together.
Each to their own, so long as they are sat with like minded fans in an area that is earmarked for those sort of fans.

Sorry, I couldn’t get down to the Etihad yesterday. I might go down later on this afternoon if the rain holds off? If I don’t go down this afternoon I will definitely go down tomorrow morning. The weather is going to be nice tomorrow.
