I was at the Boxing Day game against Scunthorpe in 1963 when he scored a hat trick. Jimmy Murray did the same and Derek Kevan weighed in with the other two making the final score 8-1.I remember Matt Grey
We might actually get a home friendly to test it out.nobody on here knows because I don't think City do either - fully, the first home game of next season would be my best guess - for that to happen there will be at least one mandatory test event for the stand, the same as for the South Stand Expansion, I think that was an open training session in the summer - I remember going in the 93:20 as part of that event.
I don't think it's as simple as cheaper tickets. At the end of the day the club has to sell at a certain level as it has to operate as a business and meet financial balances. Even at a lower rate, I suspect many fans still wouldn't go, I genuinely think that prices are a bit of a convenient excuse for many people (and I'm not saying all before people have a go), even for games where tickets are cheaper, the uptake is often slow. I think there is a general apathy towards the club and team by many at the moment, this could be for a whole host of reasons, a possible few could be (only my opinion obvs):
- All the success over the previous decade.
- Some of the decisions made by the club about ticketing in general
- The drop off last season
- The sometimes boring nature of our pedestrian paced football recently
- Too many games on TV
- Breakup of the lomg dominating squad ovlf players over the past few years.
I'm not saying it's all of these factors, I just think it's more complicate than just reducing tickets prices.
The club seriously needs to think about the new stand development though and who will sit there, it could be a huge lost opportunity and an embarrassment if it goes the way it's looking like. I think we all expected a packed 'blue wall' of hardcore fans, whereas it could end up being a patchwork of corporate, family and empty seats.
They also need to sort out the debacle of tickets in general, there are so many times I try to get an extra ticket, none are available, then at the game there are available seats all around me.

Do you think the front , overhanging part of the roof-walk will require a crane on the pitch ???A whole week now...
They'll have to slow down a bit now anyway, there's more going on internally than externally. The main things left will be covering City Square, completing the sails, the roof walk, the big screens and putting the remaining seats in and removing the hoardings (the latter will only occur when they are able to run test events most likely).
don'tDon't.
Question is:Once those boards saying ‘RAISE THE ROOF’ just at the back of the current NSL1 come down showing the full tier as one, it’s going to look incredible.
A big imposing stand like that is what we’ve been crying out for for decades at this club.
A sky hook will do it I'd have thought?Do you think the front , overhanging part of the roof-walk will require a crane on the pitch ???
Concourse works and fit out I’d say, at same time a hotel , as Sisk stated early doors they are treated as separate contractsThings seemed to have completely slowed down on the stand? Hotel fit out the priority?
Oil’s ran out? Guilty of all 115 charges? Both?Things seemed to have completely slowed down on the stand? Hotel fit out the priority?
